Child and Adolescent Therapist

Lisa is a Child and Adolescent Counsellor who works intergratively with Children, Young People and Families. She has a Level 5 Diploma in Integrative Counselling and has undertaken training in Supervision, Safeguarding, Drugs and Alcohol, Trauma, Sexual Abuse.

Lisa has experience of working with children, young people, and adults in a variety of settings including both Primary and Secondary Schools, Hospice Care, Mental Health and has previously managed a Family Support team, supporting families for children from birth – 5 years of age.

Lisa has previously worked within a Primary Care setting running the Wellbeing Department, leading, and supporting children regarding their wellbeing, mental health, SEMH, working with children who are diagnosed or undiagnosed with Special Education Needs and Safeguarding needs.

Lisa works therapeutically with Children, adolescents, parents, and families and believes that while working intergratively it is the client in the room who then fits a model rather than the training fitting with the client. She works using therapeutic play and psychodynamic ally with children offering support on a range of issues including low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, self-harm, emotional regulation difficulties (anger), abuse, trauma, long term illness, bereavement and much more.

Working ethically and abiding by the BACP Code of Ethics, Lisa is a registered member and is working towards accreditation and is also currently studying a post graduate degree at present in Psychology.
